In The Wrong Mans, Corden more or less portrays the outgoing person, looking for adventure and isn't scared as easily as Mathew Baynton's character, Sam Pinkett. You might recognize Corden from portraying the character, Craig Owens in Doctor Who, where he portrays a character similar to Sam. Skitish and unready for adventure Owens is pulled into an adventure by The 11th Doctor (played by Matt Smith) just like Sam (Baynton) is pulled into an adventure by a cellphone with assistance from Corden's character, Phil.
